KidMin Volunteer Information
Teaching children about God is a privilege and a gift. It can also be a challenge at times, but it is an incredibly important and valuable part of our church. In the Children's Ministry (aka KidMin) department at New Life, our goal is to create passionate (little) followers of Christ who teach others to follow Christ. We need volunteers who are passionate about children in order to make our goal a reality. Please read below for information on how to get involved in KidMin at New Life.
Getting involved in KidMin at New Life will take time. That is because we do everything in our power to create a safe learning environment for our children. This involves a thorough application process for our volunteers. All volunteers are required to have attended the church regularly for at least 6 months before volunteering with children and are required to fill in an application form and get training in protection policies before beginning to work with the children.
Adult Ministry Partners
We need adult volunteers in every one of our classrooms. Adults allow us to care for the children in a safe environment by being present to teach and supervise. To become an adult volunteer, you must meet the qualifications listed above and also submit a Police Records Check that has been marked CLEAR of any offenses involving children.
KidMin Teen Team
We also need youth volunteers to help the teachers in every classroom. These youth volunteers are called the "KidMin Teen Team". To be a part of the Teen Team that helps to teach children, the youth must have attended New Life regularly for at least 6 months, filled in an application form and completed protection training.
